The South Bank Sky Arts Awards

The South Bank Sky Arts Awards are the only awards in the world that focus on the arts in their entirety honouring the very best of British culture and achievement. Hosted by Melvyn Bragg, the ceremony remains the highlight of the UK arts calendar and continues to shine a light on a wide range of outstanding achievers from across the arts world.

IJPR have managed the publicity for the South Bank Sky Arts Show Awards since 2016. In 2016, we liaised with key talent agents at the early stages of the campaign to secure pre-publicity and organised interviews with host and creator Lord Melvyn Bragg with key press titles. IJPR also created and disseminated a ‘Culture Graph’ graphic asset celebrating the 20th anniversary of the awards, invited key opinion formers to the nominees’ announcement event, distributed the nominees and winners’ press releases, and managed all the media on the day of the awards to maximise next day coverage. This involved co-ordinating and staffing a full press run including the photographer’s pen, red carpet and winners’ media room.
