About Big Talk Productions

Big Talk Productions is a multi-award winning film and TV production company. It has enjoyed an exceptional output of outstanding original scripted television comedy and drama, and a track record of nurturing talent since the company began with Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Edgar Wright and Nira Park’s cult television series Spaced.

Big Talk has had many successes over the years, including being named Production Company of the Year at the 2014 Edinburgh TV Festival Awards, and being nominated for Best Independent Production at the upcoming Broadcast Awards 2017.

Led by CEO Kenton Allen, MD Matthew Justice and Founder Nira Parks, the company’s drama productions include Houdini & Doyle, A Young Doctor’s Notebook, Youngers, Our Zoo and the long-awaited and well-received return of drama favourite, Cold Feet.

Their comedy portfolio is second to none including 2016 hits Crashing (written by and starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge) and Mum (nominated for Best Comedy Programme at the Broadcast Awards 2017), as well as the award-winning Raised By Wolves, Spaced, Black Books, Rev, Him & Her, Friday Night Dinner and The Job Lot.

Feature credits include cult classics Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World. Most recently Big Talk produced rom-com Man Up and Sacha Baron Cohen’s action-comedy Grimsby. The company is in post-production on Edgar Wright’s latest movie, Baby Driver, starring Ansel Elgort, Lily James, Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx and Kevin Spacey. The movie is scheduled for an August 2017 release.
